Q & A
Q. WHY SHOULD I CHOOSE ENVISION WHEN THERE ARE OTHER SCHOOLS?
A. Every Idaho real estate school and every real estate instructor must be certified by the Idaho Real Estate Commission. But there is more to successful instruction than being certified by the state regulatory agency. At EnVision, we cover the required course material, but, more importantly, we provide you with a unique perspective on the industry given the qualifications of our instructors coupled with proprietary material and information generated by over 60 years of collective and diverse real estate expertise! The credentials of our instructors distinguish us from other schools. Who are we?
Q. HOW DO I OBTAIN A REAL ESTATE LICENSE?
Q. WHAT IS THE COST FOR THE CLASSES TO GET A LICENSE?
A. There are two classes required by the Idaho Real Estate Commission: Module 1 and Module 2. EnVision charges $240 per module; the net effective cost of taking both classes is $479.00, which includes all required textbooks and course material.
Q. WHAT IF I ONLY WANT TO TAKE ONE MODULE AT THE PRESENT TIME?
A. Though EnVision's Module 1 & Module 2 classes are scheduled in a series (usually over a two week period), students can delay taking Module 2 until there is a more convenient time. The only condition is that successful completion of Module 1 is required before a student can progress to Module 2. Please see our "Schedule" on the home page for a course calendar.
Q. WHAT IF I ALREADY HAVE THE REQUIRED TEXT BOOKS?
A. EnVision will help you verify whether or not you have the current edition of the required text books and will reduce the fee accordingly allowing for the cost of EnVision-specific course notebooks and supporting material.
Q. HOW LONG DOES THE CLASS TAKE?
A. The Pre-License courses are divided into Module 1 and Module 2. Each Module requires 45 hours of classroom study and each module requires the student to pass an exam at the end of each segment. You must pass the Module 1 exam before starting Module 2.
Q. WHERE ARE CLASSES HELD?
A. Classes are held at several different locations throughout the state of Idaho. When you enroll you will be provided a confirmation that will identify the location for your specific class.
Q. WHAT DO I NEED TO BRING TO CLASS?
A. You will need a method to keep notes and a calculator. The preferred financial calculator is the Hewlett Packard 10B II, available at most stores or online. You should also bring materials to take notes such as pens, paper and highlighters.
Q. WHAT ARE THE ATTENDANCE REQUIREMENTS?
A. Idaho Code 54-2022 (3) requires attendance to ALL course sessions to receive credit for licensing.
Q. ARE THERE TESTS?
A. Multiple choice exams are given at the conclusion of every Pre-License course and the student must pass with a minimum of 70% to receive licensing credit. 100% attendance at Continuing Education requires no exam. In order to obtain your license, you must also pass a state licensing exam (in addition to the two course exams), and the Idaho Real Estate Commission contracts with a testing company for that exam. EnVision cannot give the state licensing exam.
Q. WHAT ABOUT CANCELLATIONS AND REFUNDS?
A. Pre-License Courses: Registrants who cancel two days before the class starts will receive a full refund less a $15.00 processing fee. You must withdraw from the course in writing to receive a refund. No refunds will be made for textbooks and other materials. There is NO TRANSFER FEE should you decide to transfer from one class to another after your enrollment has been processed.
Continuing Education Courses: No refunds can be issued once registration is processed; however, the full fee may be applied to a future class.
Q. SPECIAL NEEDS
A. If you have access needs that may require special accommodations in order for your full participation, please call 208-871-2777.
Q. WHO KEEPS TRACK OF MY CONTINUING EDUCATION?
A. Envision Real Estate School is not responsible for ensuring that licencees have met and fulfilled continuing education requirements. Each individual licencee is responsible for tracking, accounting for and fulfilling individual continuing education requirements. Questions regarding continuing education courses and requirements should be directed to the Idaho Real Estate Commission. PO Box 83720 Boise, ID 83720-0077, 866-447-5411.
