IDAHO REAL ESTATE COMMISSION CORE COURSE (C2016 & C2017COREs) These are specific courses developed by IREC each year on the 1st of July and meets the “CORE Course” CE requirement. Included are legislative updates, hot topics and relevant court cases.

POST-LICENSE FUNDAMENTALS (POST001) 8 CE Hours:  This is the new required class developed by IREC for licensees renewing for the first time or for any seasoned agent seeking a refresher on the “basics”. Covers the process of working through a transaction with buyers & sellers.

POST-LICENSE PRICING, MARKETING & ADVERTISING (POST002) 4 CE Hours: This is one of the new “elective” courses required by IREC for licensees renewing for the first time or for any seasoned agent seeking a refresher on the “basics” of working with a seller and listing property.

POST-LICENSE PROFESSIONALISM, NEGOTIATIONS & CLOSING (POST003) 4 CE Hours:  This is one of the new “elective” courses required by IREC for licensees renewing for the first time or for any seasoned agent seeking a refresher on the “basics” of ethics and professionalism as well as negotiation tactics and closing protocol.

POST-LICENSE INTRODUCTION TO COMMERCIAL REAL ESTATE (POST004) 4 CE Hours:  This is one of the new “elective” courses required by IREC for licensees renewing for the first time or for any seasoned agent seeking to learn the language and basics of working in the commercial arena.

NEW!!  ETHICS: TAKING THE HIGH ROAD (E1154) 4 CE Hours:  Provides knowledge of ethics and professional standards that will help protect the consumer and the licensee in real estate transactions.  This course meets the NAR Bi-annual Ethics requirement AND provides 4 Idaho CE Credits.

UPDATED!!  CASE LAW & HOT TOPICS REWIND (E1188) 4 CE Hours:  This course takes a look back at Appellate and Supreme Court decisions that reaffirmed and/or significantly impacted the public and the real estate practice in Idaho, together with Hot Topic risk issues affecting the consumer. 

TOP 10 DEADLY SINS OF WRITING A CONTRACT (EO646) 4 CE Hours:  One of our most popular classes! This lively interactive course covers the top ten mistakes agents commonly make when completing a Purchase and Sale Agreement and provides unique ideas and solutions to each.

BUSINESS CONDUCT & OFFICE OPERATIONS - BCOO (BC001) 8 CE Hours:  This recently-updated course is designed for brokers, sales associates, transaction coordinators and office managers. It covers IREC’s rules and procedures governing the accounting of client funds, while providing tips for reliable record keeping and good business practices.

FAIR HOUSING: DESTINATION DIVERSITY (E1001) 4 CE Hours:  Do you know if a deposit can be charged for a “comfort animal”? Do you understand the allowable advertising terms? A fast-paced look at Fair Housing laws and how they impact the real estate business, this class will keep you in compliance with federal laws.

IDAHO RISK REDUCTION (E0184) 4 CE Hours:  An updated course covering the risks of working in an increasingly-litigious environment and provides information that will help keep you in alignment with state law. Topics include proper use of forms, contract basics and disclosures. 

BASICS OF COMMERCIAL REAL ESTATE (E0945) 2 CE Hours:  A basic introduction to the language and necessary skills to be effective in the commercial world of real estate.

FAIR HOUSING: DON’T BE BITTEN BY BIAS (E0990) 2 CE Hours:  A fast-paced look at Fair Housing laws and how they impact the real estate business.

FORMS GPS (E0989) 4 CE Hours:  A step-by-step navigation through the Purchase & Sale Agreement, as well as counter offers, addendums and other commonly-used forms.

FORMS GPS – Annual Changes (E0994) 2 CE Hours: A discussion of the annual July 1st changes to the forms.
